Dr. Joanne Paul, on leadership tips
Dr Joanne F Paul is a Lecturer and University Examiner in Emergency Medicine with the University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus. She is also the Systems office, Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, North Central Regional Health Authority, Trinidad
She has done her base General Paediatrics specialty in UK and then fellowships in Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) in Australia and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. She is the Coordinator of the Advanced Paediatric Life Support Courses (APLS) in addition to being an ATLS, Paediatric BASIC and ABLS instructor. She is a certified Emergency Department Executive (CEDE) and Teaching Faculty with IEDLI (International Emergency Department Leadership Institute) in association with Harvard University. She is a member of the PEM special interest group with the International Federation of Emergency Medicine (IFEM), an executive member of the Trinidad and Tobago Emergency Medicine Association (TTEMA) and a member of the TEL (Think, Educate, Learn) Institute. She is also a columnist with the Daily Express Newspaper and the executive producer of the Television Health Education series ‘Homefront’.
