Dr. Chad A. Kim Sing is an academic Emergency Physician specialist (FRCPC) practicing for 15 years. He is a senior physician healthcare leader and executive, currently serving as Associate Vice President of Medicine, Quality, & Safety, and Co-Vice President of Pandemic Response for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Authority. VCH Authority serves 1.25M people and operates approximately 20 hospitals, acute care facilities, and urgent and primary care centers with 20,000 staff and medical staff.
Dr. Kim Sing is the Co-Director of the UBC-BWH Emergency Medicine Leadership Fellowship and executive lead of the recently developed VCH Medical Practitioner Occupational Safety and Health (mPOSH) program which serves the occupational health and safety needs of medical staff. He sits on numerous regional, provincial, and national medical and healthcare bodies.
Dr. Kim Sing has served as the Department Head and Medical Director of the Emergency Departments of Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and University of British Columbia Hospital which see over 125,000 visits a year. VGH is a tertiary/quaternary academic level 1 trauma center and the provincial referral center for programs including transplant, spine, burns, and stroke.
Dr. Kim Sing is passionate about medical staff leadership, engagement, development, mentoring/coaching, and bringing multidisciplinary stakeholders together to meaningfully advance and improve patient and provider models of care and experiences.
