Dr. Tracy is currently the Chair of Emergency Medicine at South Shore Health, the largest independent health system in Massachusetts. South Shore Health’s Emergency Department cares for 100,000 patients per year, and its 7 urgent care sites care for nearly 40,000 patients per year. Emergency medicine operates a large hospital-based Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system that includes a comprehensive Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) home care program.
Dr. Tracy has spent his career in the greater Boston area. After completing his training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency, he worked as an assistant residency director and director of operations at BIDMC. Over the last 15 years, he has led emergency departments from small to large and has extensive leadership experience within not-for-profit health systems.
Dr. Tracy lectures internationally on emergency department design, healthcare operations, EMS/MIH, and leadership.
